JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for support assistants for Hallegatans BmSS and Åbogårdens BmSS in central Hisingen!
Hallegatans BmSS and Åbogårdens BmSS are two group homes with a focus on the elderly. They are located in the same building and cooperate with each other. You will be employed in one of the operations. Your workdays may involve everything from motivating and providing support based on the tenant's individually designed implementation plan, such as structuring daily life and finding/following routines, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal hygiene, as well as performing medical interventions on delegation from a nurse or rehabilitation staff. The work also includes providing support for activities and meaningful leisure. The assignment also includes participating in the establishment of implementation plans, which form the basis for quality assurance of the services. Together with your colleagues, you provide support to the tenants in their daily lives, which includes both home life and leisure activities, which may expose you to passive smoking and pets.
You will, in consultation with the support pedagogues, develop methods that lead to independence, influence, and participation for the tenants. The methods should be based on proven experience, evidence, and have a theoretical foundation.
Scheduling is done via TimeCare and some shifts are performed at other units. Working hours are during the day and evening as well as weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or a combination in between that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement; you need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
It is an advantage if you have experience working with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), LAB (low-arousal approach), and clear pedagogical methods. Other advantageous experiences include knowledge of acquired brain injuries, challenging behavior, and good computer skills.
